Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: Civilian Casualties Rise Amidst Ongoing Airstrikes

Israel Bombs Rafah, Increasing Death Toll in Gaza

Haniyeh Meets Erdogan as Regional Tensions Escalate

In the wake of overnight air attacks on Gaza's Rafah city, the death toll has risen to at least 34480 Palestinians and 1139 Israelis since October 7th, according to official figures.

The latest airstrikes targeted Rafah, killing at least nine people, including six children. The attacks follow a wave of violence that began with the killing of three senior commanders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad PIJ group in Gaza City by Israeli forces.

In response to the escalating conflict, Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul to discuss the ongoing crisis. Erdogan has been a vocal critic of Israel's actions in Gaza and has called for an end to the bloodshed.

The violence has sparked international outrage, with the United Nations calling for an immediate ceasefire. The UN Security Council is scheduled to meet on Monday to discuss the situation.

As the conflict continues, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens. The UN reports that over 100,000 people have been displaced from their homes, with many seeking shelter in schools and UN facilities.

The ongoing conflict has also raised concerns about regional stability. The involvement of Turkey, a key NATO member, has increased tensions between Israel and its neighbors.
