Arsenal Go Three Points Clear at Top of Premier League After Thumping Win Over Chelsea

Havertz and White Score Twice During Dominant Gunners Performance

Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to three points with a dominant 4-0 away win at Chelsea on Saturday. The Gunners were in charge from the first whistle on their way to securing their seventh consecutive win in the Premier League, with goals from Kai Havertz, Ben White, Gabriel Jesus, and Bukayo Saka.

Havertz and Gunners Fire on All Cylinders

The first 12 minutes of the game saw the two teams feeling each other out with no clear chances for either side. However, that would suddenly change, with Arsenal opening the scoring ten minutes later. Havertz picked up the ball in Chelsea's own half and got it past Marc Cucurella before racing forward and coolly slotting the ball past Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Gunners would then double their goal tally in the 24th minute after Chelsea's defence was caught sleeping on the break. Saka picked out Granit Xhaka to his left, and the Swiss international then put in a beautiful cross into the box, which White finished off with aplomb.

Arsenal would then put the game to bed a short while later, with Jesus adding a third goal for the Gunners in the 34th minute. Despite Arsenal's dominance up to this point, Saka would then put the icing on the cake in the 62nd minute to make it 4-0.

Chelsea's Woes Continue

The win for Arsenal piled more pressure on Chelsea, who find themselves languishing in 10th place in the league. The Blues have now lost three of their last five matches and have only managed to win three of their opening nine games.

Speaking about the match, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said, "We were excellent today. We controlled the game from the first minute and never gave Chelsea a chance. We're in a good position at the top of the table, but we need to keep working hard."
