Emma Stone Wins Best Actress Oscar for 'Poor Things'

Actress gives heartfelt speech, thanks team behind the film

Emma Stone won her second Oscar for Best Actress on Sunday night for her role in the film "Poor Things."

In her acceptance speech, Stone thanked the film's director, Yorgos Lanthimos, her co-stars, and the crew. She also gave a special shout-out to her daughter, who she said was watching the ceremony at home.

"I love you so much," Stone said to her daughter. "Thank you for being my little ray of sunshine."

Stone's win was a close one, as she beat out fellow nominees Michelle Yeoh, Cate Blanchett, Michelle Williams, and Andrea Riseborough.

"I'm so grateful to the Academy for this honor," Stone said. "I'm so proud of this film and the work that everyone put into it."

Stone's win marks the first time an actress has won two Oscars for Best Actress in a row since Katharine Hepburn in 1968 and 1969.
