Labour Poised for Landslide Victory in UK Election
Exit Poll Predicts Massive Majority
Starmer Set to Become Prime Minister
LONDON, July 4 (Reuters) - Keir Starmer is poised to become Britain's next prime minister after an exit poll predicted a landslide victory for his Labour Party in Thursday's general election.
The poll, conducted by YouGov, projects Labour winning 410 seats in the 650-seat House of Commons, while the ruling Conservative Party is forecast to plummet to just 131 seats. If the poll is accurate, it would be the worst result for the Conservatives since 1935.
The exit poll is the final test of public opinion published before the actual election results are announced. It is based on interviews with voters as they leave polling stations across the UK.
